Dutchman Robin Van Persie (RVP) has named the most talented teammates during his playing career. The former Feyenoord, Arsenal and Fenerbahce striker mentioned six teammates as the most talented. Robin Van Persiewas asked to mention his most talented teammates while he was on BBC.
Robin Van Persie began his professional football career at Feyenoord before moving to the Premier League in 2004. The Dutchman signed for Arsenal from Feyenoord with manager Arsene Wenger playing a big part in the transfer. Van Persie blossomed under Frenchman Wenger though injuries didn't let him show his full potentials especially at the start of his time in North London.
Van Persie had the best season of his career at Arsenal during the 2011/12 season as he finished as the Golden Boot winner in the Premier League. He had one year left in the summer of 2012 and the failure to sign a new Arsenal contract at the time prompted the club to sell him in a controversial transfer. Robin Van Persie spent eight seasons and won the 2004/05 FA Cup title at the club.
In his first season as a Manchester United player, Robin Van Persie scored 26 times in the Premier League to fire his new team to the league title while also bagging the Golden Boot award. He won the Golden Boot award in back-to-back seasons with different clubs. He spent three seasons at Manchester United before leaving the club for Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super League in 2015.
For his most talented teammates during his football career, Van Persie opted for two Arsenal players and four Manchester United players. As expected, French football icon Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp were the two Arsenal players. The four Manchester United players are Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney.
