Robin van Persie is intending to end his career in Europe
At the age of 33, Robin van Persie is far away from the peak of his career.
The veteran attacker who is currently a regular starter for the Turkish is well-aware of the fact that his playing days are reaching it’s final stages and Robin van Persie has recently talked about where he would like to spend the rest of his playing career.
Despite being at such an elevated age, he has been receiving offers from all corners around the globe from clubs and managers that are interested in securing the services of Robin van Persie but the former Manchester United player has responded by saying that he is only thinking about ending his career in Europe which is unfortunate for Asian clubs and even for clubs in the MLS.
"I'm not looking for another team. I love my club and want to stay here. Those stories are funny things, but if I leave Fenerbahçe it will not be for China or Qatar. If I have the plan to leave, then I go for a team in Europe’’ Robin van Persie said as he shut down claims that have been linking him with other clubs.
Even though Robin van Persie is the oldest player in Fenerbahce, he has still managed to make an impact as he has scored 7 goals in 20 appearances which might not sound like a high amount of goals but it’s still enough for him to be the 2nd top goal-scorer of Fenerbahce with only Moussa Sow being able to score more goals at this point in time in the league.
Robin van Persie is proving that age is just a number and class is permanent as he is still managing to make fairly impressive performances as well as making an impact in a club, which is why he has been receiving offers from various teams all over the world but from the looks of it, he’s only interested in European clubs.
