CROUCH SPEAKS ON KANE TRANSFER DILEMMA

Ex-Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur striker Peter Crouch has had his say on the transfer dilemma surrounding Harry Kane as he told the Three Lions of England skipper to consider the contrasting situations of Michael Owen and Robin Van Persie before he arrives at a decision in his column with the Daily Mail.

He said that Robin Van Persie and Teddy Sherringham moved to Manchester United to win the Premier League title. Robin Van Persie and Teddy Sherringham left Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur respectively to win the Premier League title at Old Trafford. Crouch also talked about Michael Owen who left Liverpool before ending up with the Premier League title at Manchester United later in his career and that he's not seen as a club legend in the eyes of the Liverpool supporters in comparison with former teammate Steven Gerrard who stayed at Liverpool for virtually the whole of his career. Crouch advised Kane to consider the two scenarios (emotional and professional) before making a decision on his future.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will be faced with a big decision on his future at the North London club in the coming weeks amidst the transfer rumours involving Manchester United and Manchester City. According to Crouch, he does not envy Kane who has to make a decision on his Tottenham Hotspur future this summer.
Kane was seriously linked with a move to Manchester City last summer with the Premier League champions keen to bolster their squad with a new striker, but the move failed to materialise mainly due to the hefty price tag slammed on him. Kane thought he had a gentleman's agreement to leave Spurs with club chairman Daniel Levy, but he was not allowed to leave via a big asking price for his transfer. It was reported that Spurs were not keen on selling the Englishman for anything less than £160m. In the end, Kane stayed in North London and he has scored 20 goals for Tottenham Hotspur in all competitions till date.
In addition to the interest in Kane from Manchester City, the English striker has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer if Mauricio Pochettino takes charge of the team. Pochettino and Kane enjoyed a good working relationship during their time together in Tottenham Hotspur and they could reunite again this summer if the Argentine is named the new Manchester United manager.
