ARSENAL: WILSHERE REVEALS HIS PARTNERSHIP WITH RVP

Jack Wilshere has revealed how he worked with Robin Van Persie (RVP) to unlock opposition defences before games. The ex-Arsenal midfielder talked about his partnership with Robin Van in a chat on TalkSPORT. According to him, RVP used to put him under pressure during gamesin his debut season at Arsenal since he was one of the most established players in the team at the time

Wilshere, 29, revealed how he would discuss ball delivery with Robin Van Persie and how to get the better of opponents a day before games. Speaking further, Wilshere said that discussions would be made on ball delivery type and on whether he wants to come short or go long. Both Wilshere and Van Persie also discusses on if the latter would want it over the top.

AUBAMEYANG CLOSING IN ON RVP RECORD

Arsenal skipper Pierre-EmerickAubameyang is closing in on the Premier League record currently held by Robin Van Persie (RVP) for the most goals scored at the Emirates Stadium. Robin Van Persie scored 46 Premier League goals for Arsenal before he left for Manchester United in 2002. The Red Devils paid around £24m to secure his transfer from Arsenal.

It has been revealed that the former Manchester United and Feyenoord striker will be available for FIFA 22 users as far as the Ultimate Team mode is concerned. VAN PERSIE WELCOMES RIQUI PUIG COMPARISON

Former Manchester United and Feyenoord striker Robin Van Persie has welcomed the physical comparison between him and Barcelona midfielder RiquiPuig. Robin Van Persie embraced his resemblance to Puig as revealed by his Barcelona teammate, Gerard Pique.

The official Twitter handle of Barcelona posted a photo of Spanish midfielder Puig and Pique pointed out that he footballer in the photo is Robin Van Persie to suggest that he looks like the ex-Dutch international.

Robin Van Persie was quick to embrace the resemblance pointed out by retired Spanish national team player Pique. He acknowledged by wishing Puiqgood luck for the new season.

VAN PERSIE INSISTS THAT VAN DE BEEK'S TIME WILL COME

Manchester United midfielder Donny Van de Beek currently has a clean slate and will be having a fresh start and a chance to prove that he has what it takes to play for Manchester United when the English Premier League season kicks off in August.

Since signing from Ajax some months ago, the Netherlands international midfielder has lamented a lack of game time at Old Trafford and was even reported to have mentioned that he would like to leave the club this summer. However, those reports have been quashed and the feeling from the player's camp now is that he wants to fight for his place in the team starting from next season.

VAN PERSIE CRITICISES TUCHEL ON ZIYECH

Dutchman Robin Van Persie has criticised Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel on his use of Moroccan international player Hakim Ziyech at the club. Robin Van Persie called out new Blues boss Tuchel in an interview with Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf. According to Robin Van Persie, Ziyech has been underused at Chelsea and that the former Ajax Amsterdam player should have a bigger role in the team.

Robin Van Persie is adamant that a player like Ziyech should have been given more playing time by the Chelsea boss. He went on to say that Ziyech and other creative players like Croatian international Mateo Kovacic and United States player Christian Pulisic are not given the freedom to express themselves creatively by German tactician Tuchel.

MANE EQUALS RECORD HELD BY RVP

Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane has equalled the Premier League record held by Dutchman Robin Van Persie (RVP) after he became only the second player to score in eight successive games against the same team. Mane scored twice in the 2-0 win at home to Crystal Palace in the last game of the season to equal the record set by Robin Van Persie.

RVP set the record when he scored in eight successive matches against Stoke City. The Dutchman played for both Arsenal and Manchester United in the Premier League for over a decade. He was a Premier League footballer between 2004 and 2015.
